About the course
This lecture equips veterinary professionals to recognize and manage feline osteoarthritis (OA) by blending behavior-centered detection with practical, multimodal treatment. We review why radiographs underestimate the burden of DJD in cats and emphasize caregiver-sourced home videos and checklists to close the diagnosis gap. Attendees will learn to develop a multi-modal management plan based on the CARE “Comprehensive Care Quad”: pain pharmacology, nutrition/weight, lifestyle/environmental modification, and rehabilitation. We also cover cat-friendly, low-stress visit strategies (including pre-visit pharmaceuticals) to improve assessment and outcomes.
