About the course

This lecture introduces the fundamentals of feline rehabilitation, defining what feline rehabilitation is and its role in improving mobility, comfort, and quality of life. Attendees will learn about the key benefits of rehabilitation, which therapies cats are most receptive to, and practical strategies to keep cats engaged in physical activity. Emphasis will be placed on low-stress handling, positive reinforcement, reading feline body language, and incorporating play-based and home-friendly exercises to encourage participation.

Dr. Carolina Medina

Dr. Carolina Medina received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George’s University in 2005. She then pursed additional training, and became a certified veterinary acupuncturist, certified veterinary pain practitioner, and a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Medina has dedicated her career to alleviating pain and improving the quality of life in patients, from clinical practce to teaching at various veterinary schools and national and international conferences.
